Our client is a leading international engineering and construction company, delivering complex foundation engineering, geotechnical, and infrastructure projects across the globe. With decades of experience in technically challenging environments, the company combines engineering excellence, innovation, and operational expertise to execute large-scale projects in some of the world's most demanding locations.

For a major international project based in Papua New Guinea, we are looking for a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER who will be responsible for overseeing all site operations, ensuring the successful execution of the project while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities, supervising Site Managers and ensuring efficient project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with planned schedules, costs, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
  • Support the definition of project execution strategies, procurement plans, and subcontracting activities.
  • Coordinate daily construction operations, proactively identifying risks, delays, and critical issues while implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with local Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality regulations, as well as company procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, providing regular reporting on project progress, site performance, and critical milestones.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the training and development of site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Senior Site Manager, or similar role on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies related to foundation engineering, ground improvement, geotechnical works, or heavy civil construction.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles, including planning, budgeting, cost control, and progress monitoring.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing subcontractors in complex construction environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction site HSE regulations and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Availability to relocate to Papua New Guinea for the duration of the project.


Location: Papua New Guinea (international assignment)

Salary range: 80.000-100.000€
