The role
Our customer offers a proprietary platform for deploying AI agents across voice, chat, and email, with a distinctive operating model: locally embedded technical teams that bring the product directly into production at the customer site, adapting to the language, culture, and regulatory context of each market.
In Italy, it is building the team from scratch.
This is not a purely managerial role.
You will report to the Global Field CTO based in Italy and manage the sales cycle from a technical standpoint, bringing the same hands-on skills as an FDE.
A startup founder approach, high flexibility, and a genuine drive to build from scratch in a fast-evolving environment are essential.
Strategic consulting backgrounds are welcome, provided the technical depth is solid.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the technical sales cycle: demos, architecture reviews, security assessments;
- Bring FDE-level hands-on skills — coding, integrations, technical quality standards;
- Build and lead the Italian technical team (engineering, pre-sales);
- Own customer integrations end-to-end, from POC scoping to production go-live;
- Strong pre-sales inclination and startup founder approach — you build, you close;
- Channel Italian market feedback directly to the global Product team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 7–8+ years of hands-on software engineering or solution architecture experience;
- Founder approach: high autonomy, zero-to-one environments, fast-shifting priorities;
- Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or complex enterprise implementations;
- Customer-facing background: Solutions Architect, Deployed Engineer, or Senior SE;
- Excellent English (written and spoken) + fluent Italian;
- High flexibility: a high-growth environment where things move fast and structures are still forming.
NICE TO HAVE
- Background in strategic consulting with solid technical depth;
- Experience with AI agents, LLMs, or enterprise automation platforms;
- Track record in fast-growing startups or scale-ups.
