Our client is a leading player in the European shared micromobility industry. The company currently operates approximately 30,000 bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters across 8 countries and over 20 major cities. Backed by a prominent Italian insurance giant as a strategic partner, the company is poised to expand into new markets in Europe, with a primary focus on electric vehicles.

To strengthen brand awareness in Norway and expand their presence in additional cities, we are seeking a Country Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

The Country Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the activities of city managers, with the goal of continuously optimizing services and increasing the country’s operational margin.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Own and manage your market to ensure it meets or exceeds operational metrics and defined KPIs, using data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance customer experiences.
  • Lead warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Implement safety protocols, promote sustainability, and strengthen quality management systems.
  • Serve as the operational expert for your region, championing operational excellence, driving end-to-end improvements, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging in strategic discussions with key external stakeholders, including city officials.
  • Define and execute an operational strategy for your region to support the deployment and management of vehicles, workforce planning, and competitor analysis.
  • Recruit and develop top-tier operational talent for your region, including hiring, onboarding, and training new team members within a warehouse environment. Manage employee scheduling and task assignments effectively.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace environment where employees feel valued and motivated to excel.


About You

  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate teams, work within a large organization, and liaise effectively with external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to understand rider behavior, optimize vehicle deployment, and address user needs.
  • Prior experience in a similar industry is preferred; experience in a startup or similarly demanding environment is a plus.
  • Fluent in Norvegian and English.
