Our client is part of a long-established group specialising in the management, supply and relocation of pallets.
As the European market leader thanks to its international presence, the company supports transport firms, retailers and industry across Europe in meeting their specific load transport requirements.
As part of its expansion in France, we are seeking an EXPERT LOGISTICS SERVICE (M/F).
Main tasks:
Order Processing & Freight Management:
- Timely matching of release and orders
- Negotiating transport prices and execute transport orders with hauliers
- Researching freight forwarders online and use common market places
- Handling customer inquiries, exemptions, and orders
- Support processing transport invoices in case of deviations
- Purchase higher-quality load carriers for customer spot activities including price negotiation
- Execute orders for higher quality load carriers including close cooperation with strategic procurement
- Handling of defect load carriers
- Daily monitoring collection and delivery deadlines
- Adjusting and replanning of orders in case of deviations
- Reporting loading/unloading issues
Spot Management:
- Manage small quantity and einpooling orders
- Manage spot inquires, spot saldos and daily tasks related to our spot partners
- Managing spot lists and defect quotas including claim management
Information Exchange and Analysis:
- Communicating, forwarding requests and sharing insights with customer service and relevant other departments
- Conducting market research and evaluations
What we are looking for:
Education
- Completed commercial training, preferably as forwarding merchant, or comparable qualification
Professional experience
- 1-5 years’ work experience, preferably in logistics/transportation sectors
Language skills
- Business fluent English and French language skills are a prerequisite
- further foreign languages according to the field of application
Professional skills
- PC skills with a good command of MS Office products (especially Excel, + Navision)

What we offer:
*Fixed-term contract of 12 months with possibility of renewal
Budget: 30-34800 euros gross per year
2 days of Home Office per week
35 hours per week
