We are partnering with a global SaaS scale-up specializing in mission-critical Revenue Growth Management and Trade Promotion solutions for the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) and FMCG industries.

The role
Our client is undergoing an exciting global reorganization, centralizing key functions in Northern Europe and transitioning operational accounting to an outsourced Shared Service Center (SSC).
To support this strategic evolution, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Financial Controller to join their Global Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and collaborating closely with the CFO, you will be a key figure in ensuring financial compliance, accurate management control, and a seamless transition to the new hybrid operating model. You will act as the primary bridge between the company and the external accounting provider, working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact and supervisor for the external accounting outsourcer (SSC), overseeing the general ledger, monthly/yearly period closings, and AR/AP cycles.
- Manage multi-entity group treasury, cash flow monitoring, and the accurate calculation of financial covenants.
- Ensure strict statutory compliance, handle tax requirements, and prepare detailed reporting.
- Liaise continuously with internal stakeholders (Sales Ops, Procurement, Controlling) and external partners (auditors, tax consultants).
- Drive and support the implementation of ERP automation projects and continuous process optimization.
- Ensure data accuracy and respect strict closing deadlines, facilitating a smooth transition to the new operational model.
Candidate Profile
Must Have:
- 6-7 years of relevant experience in financial controlling or similar roles, strictly within international groups in the Software / SaaS or Tech sectors.
- Proven experience in coordinating and supervising external accounting providers or international Shared Service Centers (SSCs).
- Robust knowledge of General Accounting, IFRS, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Solid hands-on experience in multi-entity group cash flow management and financial covenant calculations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and major corporate ERP systems.
- Professional fluency in English (this is a deal-breaker, as all interviews and daily operations are in English).
- A strong "can-do" mentality, proactive leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a complex, fast-scaling environment.
Nice to Have:
- Direct participation in Finance Transformation initiatives or ERP migration/implementation projects.
- Familiarity with Transfer Pricing dynamics and the management of intercompany policies.
- Interest or proficiency in using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to streamline and optimize finance processes.
- Professional accounting, finance, or audit certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA).
Location: London or Bratislava (we are open to consider one of the these two locations where the company has an entity).
