The role
We're looking for an engineer who wants to get their hands dirty with real problems in enterprise environments, on behalf of a fast-growing international scale-up, active across multiple European markets with a consolidated enterprise customer base.
The company offers a proprietary platform for deploying AI agents across voice, chat, and email, with a distinctive operating model: locally embedded technical teams that bring the product directly into production at the customer site, adapting to the language, culture, and regulatory context of each market.
In Italy, it is building the team from scratch.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Start from the customer's POD (with the CTO) to define and scope the use cases to build;
- Evaluate and select the right AI agent type for each specific customer need;
- Collect requirements, integrate the platform, coordinate product customizations when needed;
- Build and deploy AI agents — work on-site at the customer's offices;
- Manage 1–3 clients simultaneously depending on project size and complexity;
- Full ownership of deploy, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement in production.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering or technical problem-solving experience;
- Ability to build AI agents and integrate complex systems (APIs, data flows, legacy systems);
- Comfort working directly with customers on open-ended, ambiguous problems;
- High mobility: willingness to travel frequently to enterprise client sites;
- Genuine curiosity for AI systems that actually work in production — not just in demos;
- Strong ownership mindset and clear communication with both technical and business stakeholders.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or technical customer-facing roles;
- Background in AI agents, LLMs, automation, or conversational systems;
- Background from Big 4/Strategy Boutique tech divisions, or AI scale-ups.
