Our client is a well-established multinational company operating globally in the field of power transmission systems and propulsion solutions for marine and industrial applications. They design and develop high-performance products, combining advanced engineering with practical applications, and operate in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.
We are looking for a MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER to join the technical team, taking responsibility for the design and analysis of new products as well as the extension and improvement of existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from concept through development, testing, and final release, ensuring project objectives and product specifications are met.
- Design and analyze components for new and modified products, using 3D modeling tools.
- Oversee and coordinate all phases of product development, including prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, contributing innovative approaches and technical solutions.
- Manage priorities and contingencies, providing practical solutions for production and development challenges.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Support the team in process improvements and best practices for product design and project management.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related fields) is preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, and project management.
- Strong 3D modeling skills (SolidWorks is a plus) and familiarity with FEA or other verification tools.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior technical staff.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Flexibility for occasional international travel.
