About Our Client:
We are partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing European logistics group, specializing in international freight forwarding and end-to-end transport solutions for specialized goods. The Role:
We are seeking two proactive and hands-on Operations Support Specialists to ensure the smooth, end-to-end delivery of goods from mainland to the UK. In this highly varied role, you will act as the crucial link between the international operations planners, local UK distributors, transport carriers, and final clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier & Distributor Coordination: Manage daily relationships with UK distributors for last-mile deliveries and liaise with transport carriers/drivers to ensure seamless transit.
- Cross-Border Operations: Work closely with the international operations hub to monitor inbound trucks and resolve any transit or scheduling issues.
- Customs & Compliance Problem-Solving: Act as the first point of contact for customs-related delays, coordinating proactively with customs brokers to ensure rapid border clearance.
- Customer Care: Provide excellent support to UK-based clients, keeping them updated on their delivery statuses and resolving logistical anomalies with a positive attitude.
- Working Week: The logistics sector never sleeps! The working days run from Monday to Friday, with Sundays covered on a rotational basis (Saturdays are always off).
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: A background in logistics, freight forwarding, transport, or customs is highly advantageous, but not strictly mandatory for a fast learner with the right mindset.
- Mindset & Soft Skills: We are looking for curious, proactive problem-solvers. You must be a team player willing to roll up your sleeves, step in to help colleagues when needed, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with standard IT tools (like Excel) and enthusiastic about learning new, innovative logistics software..
Languages: Fluent English is essential. An understanding of Italian is a fantastic bonus, but not required.
