About Our Client: We are partnering with a global leader and integrated manufacturer of premium specialty metal alloys. With over a century of history and a reputation for highly engineered solutions (including exclusive patented technologies), our client supplies high-performance materials to demanding sectors such as Aerospace, Motorsport, Marine, and Oil & Gas. We are currently looking for a driven, independent professional to spearhead their market expansion in the UK and Ireland.

The Role: We are seeking a proactive "Hunter" with a consultative sales approach to drive new business and manage key accounts across the region. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will be the main point of contact for technical and commercial advice, proposing tailored solutions to engineers and purchasers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Conduct strategic prospecting to identify and acquire new industrial clients, mapping out the market and spotting new opportunities.
  • Account Management: Take full ownership of a well-established client base, ensuring continued satisfaction through technical support and proactive sales efforts.
  • Technical Advisory: Present value-added technical solutions to stakeholders, adapting your pitch to both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Market Expansion: Re-engage former customers by addressing past challenges and offering relevant solutions.
  • Self-Management: Organize customer visits efficiently across the UK and Ireland, maintaining clear reporting and CRM data.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Technical Sales Representative or Account Manager in the industrial B2B sector.
  • Technical education (mechanical engineering, materials science, or industrial technology) ideally combined with commercial training.
  • Knowledge of non-ferrous metals (copper-based alloys, aluminium, bronze) is a strong asset.
  • Strong "hunter" mentality with the ability to work independently and resourcefully in a remote/field setup.
  • Solid understanding of industrial sales cycles and solution selling.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally to Ireland.
