Project Manager (High-End Residential Renovation)
Location: Verona, Milan, or Modena area, Italy (Hybrid/Remote)

Our client, a leading design-centric company and a dominant player in the US premium flooring market, is seeking a versatile Project Manager to join their team. You will oversee a spectacular 15,000-square-foot historic residential renovation in San Francisco, designed by a world-renowned Italian architect. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in bringing a world-class architectural vision to life.
The Opportunity
This is not a standard project management role. You will act as the crucial link between Europe's finest manufacturers and a breathtaking Californian residential project. Acting as a specialized buyer and project coordinator, you will have the autonomy to source, negotiate, and manage the procurement of luxury materials and furnishings, ensuring the highest standards of quality and design are met.
What You Will Do
- Spearhead the procurement and purchasing of high-end stone and marble, leveraging your deep knowledge of premium vendors in the Northern Italy area.
- Supervise the fabrication process, manage logistics and shipping, and conduct rigorous quality and quantity checks for all stone and natural materials.
- Negotiate pricing and finalize complex order details with premium Italian furniture manufacturers.
- Source and collaborate with elite steel window vendors across Italy and Poland.
- Prepare and organize vendor meetings and material selections in time to be fully on board before the upcoming Salone del Mobile.
- Travel occasionally within Europe (including Italy, Poland, and the Netherlands) and to San Francisco to oversee project milestones and vendor relations.
Who You Are
- You have previous experience in project management, procurement, or a hybrid architectural/buying role.
- You possess an in-depth understanding of stone and marble materials, including purchasing and fabrication processes.
- You are an exceptional negotiator with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage complex vendor relationships.
- You speak fluent English, allowing you to seamlessly connect local European artisans with the US project team.
- You are a proactive, self-motivated professional comfortable working independently in a highly flexible setup.
- You are based in Northern Italy (Verona, Milan, or the Modena area), with Verona being a strong advantage given the proximity to top stone contractors.
