On behalf of our client, the Italian entity of a prominent European Technology Group we are seeking a high-caliber professional for the role of Finance Manager.
Context
Our client is a lean, dynamic organization characterized by a strong technological DNA and accelerated growth. The company is currently undergoing a strategic evolution: transitioning from outsourced accounting management to an advanced financial performance management model.
The successful candidate will serve as the "financial face" of the Italian Business Unit, acting as a Business Partner to local leadership while maintaining constant liaison with the Group CFO at the international headquarters.
The professional challenge
The primary objective of this role is to take full ownership of the Finance department, transforming data into strategic insights. The ideal candidate will go beyond mere compliance oversight, actively driving margin optimization and cost structure efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance & Controlling: full ownership of financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- International Reporting: preparation of monthly management accounts and operational KPIs in alignment with Group standards (IFRS/Group Reporting).
- Accounting Oversight: supervising outsourced accounting providers to ensure accuracy and adherence to both local and Group deadlines.
- Margin Optimization: conducting detailed audits of supplier costs and revenues to identify revenue leakage and operational inefficiencies.
- M&A Support: actively collaborating in acquisition and integration processes, coordinating financial data with the Group M&A team and external advisors.
- Business Partnership: acting as a key advisor to the Managing Director and COO, supporting strategic decisions through data-driven analysis.
Ideal candidate profile
We are looking for a robust professional with a "hands-on" mindset and the ability to navigate agile, performance-driven environments.
Core Requirements:
- Experience: 5-8+ years in Financial Controlling, Audit, or Finance Management, preferably within high-volume tech sectors (SaaS, Logistics, Tech Scale-ups).
- Technical Skills: deep knowledge of Italian GAAP and familiarity with IFRS.
- Tools: advanced mastery of Excel; proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Qliksense).
- Languages: excellent professional English (essential for daily interaction with the European headquarters).
- Mindset: entrepreneurial attitude, ability to work independently, and a strong results-oriented approach.
What the Company Offers
- Environment: an international, PE-backed context—solid yet free from the bureaucratic rigidities of large corporations.
- Flexibility: a Remote/Hybrid work model, ideally based in Northern Italy (Milan).
- Growth: a tangible career path within a Group undergoing European expansion.
Location: Milan (remote).
