SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Our Client is a global leader and a prominent division of a massive multinational
corporation. The company develops and manufactures advanced software solutions, IoT technologies,
monitoring systems, and sophisticated hardware tailored for the fueling and retail convenience
sectors worldwide.
Their site in Lentate sul Seveso is already their global headquarters for ATG hardware, firmware, and
sensor technologies. As part of their growth strategy, they are expanding the facility into their leading hub
for software development. By joining forces with their teams across Europe and the Americas, the
Italian center will support the evolution of their global software architecture.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of this expanding Engineering department,
reporting directly to the Software Engineering Manager. You will collaborate within a multicultural,
cross-functional development environment spread across different countries and languages,
primarily between Europe and America. The company is heavily investing in new, strategic projects
to shape its core architecture.
Whether your passion lies in building robust, high-performance back-end systems, crafting intuitive
and modern user interfaces (GUI), or bridging the two as a Full-Stack developer, this role will be
tailored around your core strengths and expertise.

Your Role and Impact

• Analyze project and product requirements to effectively design and define strategic development plans for core systems, including Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG), Fusion Forecourt Controller, and Central Head Office systems.
• Develop and govern the core back-end components that drive their global systems architecture, working smoothly within a worldwide environment.
• Develop, modernize, and shape user interfaces (GUIs) across embedded, web, and mobile platforms, ensuring a seamless and fluid user experience for global products.
• Support the setup and maintenance of internal test environments, collaborating closely with Software Quality (QA) teams to streamline testing activities.
• Interact directly with the Global Support and Customer Service teams to capture critical field insights, efficiently address field issues, and drive ongoing product enhancements.
• Work using Agile methodologies, maintaining continuous alignment with colleagues, stakeholders, and the EMEA regional management.

Skills and Qualifications

General Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical/scientific field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience in complex environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, keeping global stakeholders transparently informed of progress.

Core & Systems Architecture

• Solid knowledge and professional experience on the Back-End with C++ or C#.
• Strong understanding of Web Services and API architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of relational databases and SQL language.
• Familiarity with network communication logics and protocols (e.g., RS-485, TCP-IP stack).

Tools & Methodology

• Strong familiarity with Git workflow and source control management.
• Robust experience working with Agile methodologies in collaborative environments.

Languages

• Fluent professional English (technical level required for documentation and daily interaction with international teams).

Nice to Have (Pluses)

• Knowledge of modern web, desktop, or mobile frameworks (e.g., Angular, .NET MAUI, or equivalent UI technologies) paired with a strong willingness to learn.
• Knowledge or familiarity with Linux environments.
