On behalf of our client, an innovative and fast-growing international company specializing in sustainable productivity solutions, we are seeking a talented Software Validation Engineer to join their team.
You will be part of their Technology & Innovation department within the Portable Power and Flow Division. Their mission is to scout, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge solutions—from energy sources to control systems and connectivity—to deliver unique, efficient, and high-performance products.
We are looking for a SOFTWARE VALIDATION ENGINEER with a background in industrial environments, PLC, and software testing. You will bring a "fresh pair of eyes" to the development process: your main goal will be to validate and certify the software developed internally, ensuring top-tier quality and pushing the boundaries of their testing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for newly developed software.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure robust software quality.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, proactively finding flaws to facilitate resolution.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, application specialists, and hardware engineers to devise effective test strategies.
- Continuously refine and improve internal testing processes to reduce reliance on external suppliers.
Technical Profile
- Demonstrated experience (approx. 3-5 years) in software validation, ideally within industrial environments.
- Solid, hands-on knowledge of PLC.
- Strong expertise in programming languages such as Structured Text and JavaScript.
- Fluent in English (essential for daily technical work and international collaboration).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a highly proactive approach to discovering bugs and proposing improvements.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Python.
- Experience programming HMI (Human-Machine Interfaces).
- Knowledge in Energy Storage Systems (ESS), battery inverters, or solar technology.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (CAN Bus, Modbus).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Personality Requirements
- You strive to challenge the status quo and create better solutions. You value high standards, never compromise on quality, and have a genuine passion for tackling challenges with technical depth.
- You are highly autonomous and do not wait for instructions; instead, you take the initiative to review code, test thoroughly, and find ways to improve the system. You embrace a practical, hands-on approach with a strong team spirit, ensuring accurate and precise delivery.
