In Spain, the company operates through a specialized R&D and core network software development hub located in Madrid. Combining the dynamism, autonomy, and agility of a startup culture, the local team owns the end-to-end software development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and support), building state-of-the-art multi-tenant solutions and actively embracing cutting-edge technologies such as 5G Roaming, IoT, and advanced AI-assisted automation tools.
We are looking for a Telecom & DevOps Engineer (hands-on profile with 2–3 years of experience) with a background in Telecommunications or Computer Engineering who combines a genuine interest in mobile networks and services with operational capabilities in Linux systems administration, databases, and automation.
We are not looking for a pure CI/CD tool administrator, but rather a systems and network engineer with a scientific, solution-oriented mindset who deeply understands the applications and network traffic they deploy, monitor, and test.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment & Operations: Participate in the testing, continuous deployment, and software maintenance across non-production and production environments within signaling, voice, data, and IoT domains.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (primarily in Python and Bash) to optimize operational workflows, routine tasks, and automated tests.
- Systems & Network Administration: Configure and maintain Linux server environments and relational databases (SQL).
- L3 Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex operational network and application issues (Level 3).
- Technical Evolution: Collaborate with international teams to drive the adoption of forward-looking technologies (5G roaming, enterprise IoT, and AI-accelerated tools like GitHub Copilot).
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- University Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related technical and scientific fields.
- Experience: Between 2 and 3 years of hands-on experience in operational roles, systems support, network engineering, or junior DevOps environments.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Operating Systems: Solid command and practical administration of Linux / Unix environments.
- Automation: Scripting experience in Python and/or Bash.
- Databases: Practical experience querying and working with relational databases (SQL).
- Telecommunications: Strong interest in and familiarity with mobile networks and telecom protocols (4G / 5G architectures, roaming, signaling, messaging, or IoT).
Languages & Competencies:
- English: Fluent proficiency (C1 / full professional proficiency), essential for day-to-day interaction with international teams and internal stakeholders.
- Mindset & Approach: Analytical thinking, proactivity, comfort in agile environments with flat hierarchies, a continuous learning drive, and a collaborative spirit within multicultural teams.
